Contact our troubleshooting and consultancy service to help you make a difference to your deaf and hard of hearing staff & customers.
Who
You probably work in an organisation and currently have a specific problem related to a deaf issue. You may have a policy issue about deafness you cannot resolve or perhaps you need advice on developing a broad strategy.
Aim
Deafworks always shoots from the hip! We can help you solve your niggling or long standing problems quickly and painlessly by training up the skills of hearing staff needing to work with deaf colleagues / customers / users, advising on the employment of deaf staff, looking at providing good access for deaf customers or service users, working on developing good support for deaf children, young people or students.
What you get
With our broad knowledge and experience of deafness, we could offer you a consultancy session with one of the Deafworks partners, or a series of short sessions to develop policy or strategy. You may prefer a research report instead or a hand-holding period whilst you figure it out yourself. Or hand us your half-finished project, and you will receive it completed with a professional finish in the shortest time possible (we have completed many half finished projects for both large and small organisations – some lasting a week and others lasting 18 months).
Also:
- we have given support in recruitment processes to personnel departments
- we have advised managers of deaf staff
- we have provided help to access officers and senior management
- we have prepared reports and assessments of staff communication skills
- we provide a specialised headhunting service for senior D/deaf managers/chief executives
- If you need help with resolving a dispute within your workplace or learning situation, we can provide mediation for you
