Your “Full Works” programme will be specifically tailored to what you need most.
Here is an example of a package which a previous recipient of the “Full Works” received and found helpful:
1) An initial email discussion about what the programme should cover.
2) A follow-up personal development email questionnaire.
3) One initial face-to-face mentoring session.
4) An ongoing individual career plan and checklist.
5) Regular email correspondence and support for four months.
6) One additional face-to-face mentoring session towards the end of the programme.
7) Up to six e-sessions of English support and drafting of papers (or a further face-to-face session if preferred).
What will your programme look like?
Obviously, all “Full Works” programmes will include full and total trust and confidentiality.
Who will pay?
The fee to your employer is £740 + vat for a year’s support. Contact us if you are an individual who cannot get work support or approval.
Have you thought about asking Access to Work to fund this as part of your support in the workplace?
This level of service from Deafworks provides support so that you have equal access to your work on the same basis as your hearing colleagues.
“I was initially nervous about contacting Laraine as this meant I had to admit to my weaknesses, which I didn’t really want to do. I went to see her and I felt better as I was just able to discuss things and talk about why I felt I wasn’t getting on as fast as I should at my work. I work for a large multinational, and there is very little tolerance for people who take too long to do something. My line manager had taken me to one side and said I had to sharpen up my act. Laraine encouraged me to describe what I wanted to be like in six months time, and she and I agreed on what steps I needed to take. We met once a month and had email correspondence in between. It was very intensive but time was not on my side. By the end I had joined an internal networking group, re-organised my notetaking support, signed up to the gym, offered to do an unpopular presentation, and took on some work for a colleague when she was rushed to hospital. I have now been shortlisted for a vacancy the next level up. My line manager is pleased with me but not half as pleased as I am!”
Small baby steps…
If you feel that you could really gain a lot from The Full Works, but aren’t quite ready (mentally or financially) to sign up for it yet, perhaps you could consider one of these two options:
1) Post your problem on Laraine’s popular Agony Aunt page and get helpful advice on your issue for FREE!
2) Sign up for our One-to-One session(s), to give you a taste of what coaching with Laraine would be like. This could give you the evidence you need to persuade your employer or funder that this kind of support would really benefit you, your job and your career.
