Access to Arts Events

We will no longer be updating Deaf Access to Arts Events here. (it is incredibly time consuming – the ‘access to arts world’ really needs a dedicated officer)

Do advertise your event to the wider Deaf Community on the Facebook Group – London Museum and Gallery Access Events to spread the word about your event.

There are also other ways you can advertise your event, see below.

sceneandsound.co.uk

magicdeaf.org.uk

London Museum and Gallery Access Events on Facebook

Deaf Arts Events on Facebook (for the Midlands, UK)

and also post your info to deafarts@yahoogroups.com.

For D/deaf visitors :

Look at the above groups to see what’s on in your area.

We believe strongly that the arts enrich people’s lives and for that reason we are committed to supporting the arts. Deafworks Arts offers research, projects, access conferences, advice and consultancy to all arts professionals, galleries, museums and institutions seeking to improve their services for Deaf artists and visitors.

Advice!

1. If you are a gallery or cinema or arts venue, tell us how deaf visitors can join your e-list.
2. Remember you can also post your event free on the above sites.
3. If you are a deaf arts visitor, ask galleries & museums to be put on their regular (deaf) e-updates.

Or log onto these info websites for a list of events in your area.
