Work around Deaf Issues?
Want an Away Day?
Need time to think and discuss?
You may already be planning a team building or meeting event where you have got some tough decisions to make such as where the organisation or department is going or perhaps you are planning to sort out some sensitive topics.
Deafworks offers a specialised facilitation service so that your event or meeting is kept on track by an impartial outsider, but by someone who knows and understands Deaf Issues..
We design and facilitate situations for people in organisations to think and act differently.
Each client and each situation is special.
Our facilitator services are based on action and making things happen rather than prolonged debate.

What skills are you looking for?
- An awareness and understanding of the subtleties around Deaf Issues
- A neutral person who will keep her views out of the picture and yet be able to draw together delegates’ views
- Someone who can handle group conflict and strongly held views
- A well known and well respected Deaf person who is an experienced group worker and understands how groups work
- A bi-lingual trainer who can manage deaf-hearing groups on her own
- A sensitive leader who can work with interpreters and speech to text operators
We don’t offer ready-made “one size fits all” solutions. Our approach is to focus on your needs, drawing on a wide range of approaches and mixing and tailoring them as appropriate.
The typical process is:
- You brief us on what you want to achieve, the people involved and background.
- We email you and other important stakeholders, and design the right event and plan any pre-work and follow-up.
- With your agreement, we carry-out any preparatory interviews, design materials, brief the venue and so on.
- We facilitate the event.
- We carry-out any follow-up work agreed, such as preparing a report on the outputs of the event.
